Courts to remain open subject to new guidelines for protecting customers and staff

The National Courts Administration has issued new guidance according to which courts are to continue hearing cases with existing resources for as long as this can be done without exposing court personnel or customers to coronavirus. No changes have been introduced to statutory deadlines for court proceedings despite the ongoing crisis. Customers are expected to comply with summonses and court orders unless told otherwise. The National Courts Administration updated its guidance yesterday.
